Feel Ya
03:22
|
|||
Come take my hand,
Do not worry, do not weep.
Want you to understand,
All I need is you here with me.
I ain't nobody,
Without you I ain't no-one.
Need you to be a part of me,
Need for you to be the one.
I want to feel ya,
Arms around me tight.
I want to hold you close,
In the cold, dark night.
Hush not a word,
Not a motion, not a sound.
Just want to feel you there,
Beside me here & now.
I don't want nobody,
Just you I hope you know.
I just want to be your man,
Let me hold you, let me show.
I want to feel ya,
Arms around me tight.
I want to hold you close,
In the cold, dark night.

Your Name
03:42
|
|||
They say,
That we all know,
When we find the one,
That special one.
Came in,
And wrote your story,
Bathed me in all your glory,
But now you're gone & I'm all alone.
When I call your name out loud,
Well it makes me die every time.
There's no way out for me,
I'm paralysed somewhere inside.
So sad,
When it all caves,
Down on top of you,
What you gonna do?
Struggle something's holding me,
I can't get away,
I look back it's you,
Do I follow you too?
When I call your name out loud,
Well it makes me die every time.
There's no way out for me,
I'm paralysed somewhere inside.

Darkness & Glory
05:02
|
|||
Sorting through old photographs,
We were barely 21,
Burning fast like a cigarette,
And we weren't the only ones.
The nights were long, the days were short,
But you learnt to sleep it off.
Drunk & stoned & far from home,
We could never get enough.
I've seen the darkness & the glory,
I've been down that road.
Before the fall thought we knew it all,
Well it seems that we were wrong.
Getting past on the bones of our arses,
Singing the same old songs.
Another beer, another bar,
Never a lonely night.
We'd snort cocaine & drink champagne,
Thinking everything was alright.
I've seen the darkness & the glory,
I've been down that road.
I've heard every fucking story,
I've been & I know.
So many days lost in the haze,
Knew them now they're gone.
Can still see them through the bottle,
Still them sing their songs.
Move along as the years go by,
Well I pretty much feel numb.
Memories fade, some new ones made,
Then I'm the forgotten one.
I've seen the darkness & the glory,
I've been down that road.
I've heard every fucking story,
I've been & I know.

Old Friend
03:19
|
|||
Say goodbye to me my old friend,
Who knows when we'll meet again,
As the days turn into night,
And you disappear from our sight.
Now we're parting don't know what to say,
Never thought it'd work out this way,
Those years you know they were fun,
Saw you yesterday now you're gone.
You're gone & we all know why,
Don't worry, we won't cry for you.
Addiction was such a dirty word,
Never thought that we'd get hurt,
I know things will never be the same,
Now death's been pumping through your veins.
Don't worry it will be alright,
Go on now towards the light.
I've been thinking it's sad but true,
Could've been me instead of you,
It was coming, I should have known,
But you died there so all alone.
See you lying there, what they done to you?
See you lying there all pale & blue,
Now a eulogy for my friend,
Where to start & where to end?
I'm lost for words but I'll try,
In the end, it's goodbye to you my old friend.
Goodbye to you
My old, old, old, old friend.

Sea of Gold
03:12
|
|||
I've been beaten, I've been down.
I've been cheating, I've been the clown.
I have faltered, Lost my way,
Stranded in my yesterdays.
I've been drowning in a sea of gold,
Never able to feel the cold,
Winds a-howling all around me,
Never able to be free.
And I've had it all & I've lost it all,
So many times before.
Been a rich man filled with greed,
Been a poor man filled with need.
Crawling over the stony ground,
I was lost but now I'm found,
Hear me calling and light my way,
Help me find my place to stay.
Coz I've had it all & I've lost it all,
So many times before.
Been a rich man filled with greed,
Been a poor man filled with need.
Been a poor man filled with need.
